To schedule a ride, simply call CATS at 740-835-8474 at least 24 hours in advance. Tell the scheduler your transportation needs, such as your pick-up location, destination and the time you need to be there. The scheduler may ask for additional details. They will provide your pick-up time or call you back to confirm. All calls must be received 24 hours in advance. CATS does not operate on Sundays or certain holidays.

You can pay your fare when boarding the van/bus. Exact fare is required. You can also purchase passes from the driver or at the CATS office located at 508 Howard Street, Waverly. Additionally, you may add funds to your pass using a credit or debit card over the phone. Seniors and individuals with disabilities ride at half fare. Yes, seniors and individuals with disabilities qualify for half fare. To receive a reduced fare, purchase a discount pass from the driver or at the CATS office. When scheduling, let the dispatcher know you are eligible. The information will be recorded in our system. The Pike County Commissioners secure funding to keep fares affordable for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

By canceling unneeded trips, you help make room for other riders. Please be considerate and cancel trips you no longer need. Cancellations must be made at least two hours before your scheduled pick-up time. For early morning trips, call by 6:30 a.m. to cancel.

To cancel a trip, call 740-835-8474 and inform the scheduler. You can cancel up to two hours before your scheduled trip. For early morning cancellations, call by 6:30 a.m. for trips later that day. Cancellations can be made after business hours through our general voicemail.

Seatbelts are not required for any passengers although are available for all riders as well as child size safety belts on particular buses, please contact dispatch if one is needed.

The ADA requires that passengers who cannot use the steps may use the wheelchair lift. The lift has support handles, but neither the driver nor a passenger assistant can accompany you on the lift.
